Yes, thank goodness for Memaws (and grandmas and papas too!)
I thought for some crazy reason that instead of doing my kids eye appointments separate and having to drive to the eye Dr. on 3 separate occasions that it would be really smart of me to schedule them at the same time. (I know a lot of you are already smirking at that one). But fortunately for me, Memaw lives close and was able to help keep the kids under control during our almost 2 1/5 hour visit there. Although, my sweet little babes were very good. That's what crackers and suckers can do for little ones. But Addy's glasses are doing GREAT! no problems except she doesn't like to always wear them. Brennon's eyes are perfect and as the Dr. commented when looking at them "you have beautiful dark eyes my man". (I really like this Dr. and not just because he comments on how cute my kids are, but he is just a good eye Dr.!). As for little Miss. Emma-Jean we are in a catch... Her eyesight is improving. But her eyes are still crossing and both of them are doing it now, even with the glasses. the catch is, she needs a new prescription for glasses that aren't as strong. Strong (thick) lenses are what help keep the eyes straight. So he wants to see her in a month to see how this new prescription will be working for her. If it looks like its not doing much to help improve the crossing of the eyes, then we need to discuss surgery. The biggest concern about it all besides my little girl having big puffy sore owie eyes. Is our insurance doesn't want to cover this Dr. but like I mentioned, he is so good and he is about the only one in this area that works with kids..... and he is GREAT!!!! so please say a little prayer for my girl, no surgery, and that our insurance will take pity on us, or something anyway, and let us see him! I know God can do ANYTHING! He can perform the most IMPOSSIBLE of tasks....like getting insurance companies to work with you!

Yes, We will be praying!! Those cursed insurance companies--I seriously think they exist primarily to collect our money and then to vex us beyond reason. But God is greater than them, and will provide. We will be praying for Miss Emma's eyes.
